Privacy policy
What we collect when you contact us or rent a van, why we hold it, and how long we keep it. Short version: we collect what a rental company legally has to, and nothing for advertising.
Who we are

What we collect
- When you enquire: your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you tell us about the job.
- When you rent: copies of your driving licence, Emirates ID, passport and visa page, and for companies the trade licence and driver authorisation. UAE rental regulations require us to hold these.
- Payment: we take payment by card or bank transfer through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Vehicle records: handover and return photographs, mileage readings, and any Salik or fine notices linked to the vehicle during your hire.
- Website: standard server logs and basic analytics. We do not run advertising or profiling cookies.
Why we hold it
To quote and fulfil your booking, to meet the identification and record-keeping requirements that apply to vehicle rental in the UAE, to process Salik and traffic fines correctly, to handle insurance claims, and to comply with tax and accounting law.
Who we share it with
- Our insurer, where a claim is made.
- Government and traffic authorities, where the law requires it — for example when a fine is issued against a vehicle you were driving.
- Our payment provider and our accountants.
- Nobody else. We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not pass them to marketing companies.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Rental records, including identity documents and invoices, are kept for the period required by UAE record-keeping and tax law, and then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Email info@primevanrentals.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you would rather we did not message you about anything other than your booking, say so and we will not.
Security
Documents are stored on access-controlled systems and shared only with the people listed above. This site is served over HTTPS.
